Guttenberg Woman Charged With DWI, Injures Motorist

24-year old Kimberly Monroe of Guttenberg has been charged with refusing to take a police ordered, breathalyzer test after her Acura slammed into the rear of a Subaru in the northbound lanes of Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights in Bergen County.  According to police, Monroe was driving drunk when her vehicle hit the other car shortly after midnight on Sunday morning.

The driver of the Subaru, a 54-year old resident of Westwood, refused any medical treatment at a local hospital, despite complaining of back pain.

Monroe was charged with DWI, property damage, and careless driving in addition to refusing the breath test.
