HCDO Endorses Hudson County Clerk Junior Maldonado For Re-Election

The Hudson County Democratic Organization is endorsing County Clerk E. Junior Maldonado for a second term in the upcoming primary election. First elected in 2017, Maldonado has worked to improve operations at the Clerk’s Office to save taxpayer money while also expanding community outreach and ensuring that new voting systems are implemented effectively. The HCDO is also endorsing the rest of its primary slate, including Rob Menendez for Congress, Congressman Donald Payne, Jr., Congressman Bill Pascrell and Sheriff Frank Schillari.

“Junior Maldonado is an effective, honest, hardworking public servant who Hudson County residents can count on to deliver the services they need from the County Clerk’s office,” said HCDO Chair Amy DeGise. “Whether it’s increasing community outreach programs, running an efficient operation or managing changes to our voting systems like Vote by Mail and Early In-Person voting, Junior Maldonado has always gotten the job done for us and I’m proud to support him.”

The Maldonado endorsement is really nothing more than a formality because he is running unopposed in the June Primary Election.  Maldonado will face a Republican challenger in the General Election in November, that being Beth Hamburger.
