High Tech High School celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and highlights one of their instructors

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated every September, and this year was a special one for High Tech High School as one of their educators was honored by her native country.

Margarita Guzman is a Spanish instructor at High Tech, as well as Commissioner for the town of West New York. She has been a teacher for many years and is also currently in her second term as commissioner. The Institute of Dominicans Abroad, otherwise known as INDEX, awarded her as “Outstanding Dominican in the United States” for her dedication to serving her students as well as local and international communities. Dominican President Luis Abinader presented her with the honor on September 19th.

High Tech High School is very proud to display their diversity in every department, from faculty and staff as well as their students.
