She’s the second longest serving member of the Hoboken City Council and she’s seeking a fourth, four-year term in November.  Councilwoman Jen Giattino, a professional realtor, faces a challenge for her seat from two opponents.  It’s not the first time she’s faced more than one opponent in her re-election bids.

Often a critic of the current Bhalla Administration, Giattino believes the quality of life, not just in her Ward, but across the city is not being addressed strongly enough.  She says garbage and trash can be found everywhere, and that has caused the rodent problem.

While steps have been taken to stem this issue, more must be done.  She openly speaks about this issue with Hudson TV reporter Jeff Henig, along with the city’s budget.  She believes there is wasteful spending occurring and cites an area where cuts need to be considered.
