This week, the City of Hoboken and Lyft launched Citi Bike valet service at the Hoboken Terminal.  The new service allows residents to commute to and from the terminal more easily during morning and evening hours.

Through the program, valet staff guarantees the availability of dock space and bikes at the Hoboken Terminal – River Street docking station on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The valet service is free for all Citi Bike riders.

“The new Citi Bike valet service is the latest way the City is eliminating barriers to accessing alternative transportation options,” said Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla. “Through this service, residents will no longer need to think twice about using a Citi Bike out of concern for finding space or a bike at the Hoboken Terminal. Thank you to Lyft for working with my administration to offer this needed service.”

Citi Bike expanded into Hoboken in May 2021 through a partnership with Jersey City. The interconnected, regional program allows members to easily travel between Jersey City, Hoboken, and New York City.

Members of all three programs have access to 21,000 bikes at almost 1,300 stations – the largest combined program in the United States.

So far, Hoboken has 23 docking stations throughout the City and more are to come.

Lyft and the City of Hoboken recently announced that Hoboken Housing Authority residents and SNAP recipients are eligible for discounted memberships that cost $5 per month or $60 annually. Full-price membership costs $179 annually.
