Hoboken Announces Change in COVID-19 Testing Laboratory

As of yesterday, Wednesday, January 12, Medicine Man Pharmacy & Compounding began sending all COVID-19 test specimens collected at Hoboken clinics to Alaine Diagnostics, which will provide results within 48 to 72 hours. For at least the next several weeks, Medicine Man will no longer be utilizing Star Labs.

“The move we are making in partnership with Medicine Man Pharmacy & Compounding aims to improve our testing infrastructure that has unfortunately suffered from recent lab delays,” said Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla. “Residents deserve test results in a timely fashion, and I look forward to working with Alaine Diagnostics and other laboratories to help keep our community safe.”

All individuals tested on or before Tuesday, Jan. 11, through Medicine Man Pharmacy & Compounding will still receive their results from Star Labs. Those who have not received results within 72 hours of testing should email Star Labs at testresults@starlabs.org and copy testing@hobokennj.gov. Prompt MD, another partner of the City’s, will continue to utilize Star Labs.

Individuals tested at clinics with Medicine Man Pharmacy & Compounding on or after Wednesday, Jan. 12, will receive their results via email from Alaine Diagnostics. Those who have not received results within 72 hours of testing should email Info@alainedx.com and copy testing@hobokennj.gov or contact Alaine Diagnostics at (201) 620-2002.
