Hoboken Announces Initial Southwest Fest For June 3

Saturday, June 3rd should be a day of family fun in Hoboken, as the initial Southwest Fest is on tap for the entire community.

Mayor Ravi Bhalla, Councilman Ruben Ramos, the Hoboken Business Alliance, and the Hoboken Housing Authority say the fun filled festival will take place on Jackson Street, between Second and Third Streets from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.  There will be family friendly activities including carnival games, live performances, entertainment, and highlighting of local businesses and eateries.

“Thanks to the feedback from residents, we are making more programming and fun filled activities available to residents of West Hoboken, this time with our brand-new Southwest Fest,” said Mayor Bhalla. “I’m thrilled to partner with the Hoboken Business Alliance, Hoboken Housing Authority, and Councilman Ramos to offer this family-friendly festival, and I encourage all members of the community to come out, enjoy the outdoors with their neighbors, and participate in some fun-filled activities on June 3!”

“We are extremely excited that as a City we were able to collaborate with the HBA, HHA, and sponsors to show off our neighborhood by bringing a fun, family friendly event to west Hoboken for all of our residents to enjoy,” said 4th Ward Councilman Ruben Ramos.

“The Hoboken Housing Authority is excited to partner with Mayor Bhalla, the City of Hoboken, Hoboken Business Alliance, and Councilman Ramos, and HHA Commissioner and Councilman Michael Russo in supporting the first Southwest Fest,” said Executive Director of the Hoboken Housing Authority Marc Recko.
