Hoboken Man Arrested For Burglary & Theft of Items From Garage

49-year old Hoboken resident, Oscar Sequinot has been arrested on burglary and theft charges.  According to Hoboken Detective/Lieutenant Danilo Cabrera, Sequinot was taken into custody on Wednesday morning at 10:16 at 920 Washington Street.

Cabrera says the arrest stems from an incident at 1st and Monroe Streets on Monday of this week, at approximately 5:23 pm.  The following day, Tuesday, October 27, officers responded to the location on a belated burglary and theft call.  When police arrived, they spoke with two victims who told them that an unknown person had entered the garage they share.  The man, later identified as Sequinot, exited the garage with personal items that were not his, according to the two victims.

The officers were given a description of the alleged thief.  The following morning Officer Samuel Flores spotted the actor in question while on patrol.  Sequinot was stopped for questioning and ultimately arrested for the burglary and theft two days earlier.  He also had drug paraphernalia in his possession.

Sequinot was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny.  He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
