27-year old, Thomas Steed of Hoboken was arrested by Hoboken Police on Wednesday night at approximately 9:30 at 310 Marshall Drive. According to Detective Sergeant Jonathan Mecka, officers responded to to the Hoboken Housing Authority address at 3rd and Marshall on a report of a man with a gun.
Upon arriving at the scene, twelve members of the Hoboken Police Department approached a man, later identified as Steed, and one noticed the outline of a gun. Steed was arrested and a 5 shot revolver, USA Charter arms Undercover .38 special was recovered.
During the search, police also recovered crack/cocaine, heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash. Steed, following processing, was transported to the Hudson County Correctional facility in Kearny.
Steed faces numerous charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute various drugs, and defiant trespassing.
