Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla is in self-quarantine at home this weekend after one of his close contacts tested positive for the coronavirus. The news forced the Mayor to miss the city’s 9-11 ceremony on Friday night.
On Saturday, city spokesman Vijay Chaudhuri issued the following statement:
“Mayor Bhalla will follow the guidance of medical professionals and the Hoboken Health Department regarding his self-imposed quarantine, and will no longer quarantine when it has been determined to be safe to do so.”
