Hoboken Mayor Says Residents and Businesses Should Document Their Flood Damage

Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla today strongly encouraged Hoboken residents and businesses impacted by Tropical Depression Ida to document damages caused by flooding. Residents and businesses should do so before throwing out or discarding flooded items, which will be needed when applying for federal or state relief funding.

“As we continue with our recovery efforts, I urge all Hoboken residents and business owners that were impacted by Ida to diligently document any and all flood damage and repairs,” said Mayor Bhalla. “When funding becomes available at either the state or federal level, it will become a necessary part of the application process and we want to ensure all residents and businesses are prepared, and receive their fair share.”

Documentation can include receipts, photographs, records, credit card statements, and more.
