It’s that time of year when you want to get your flu vaccinations to prevent winter illness. In addition, COVID-19 shots are also important, as the Centers For Disease Control says , while the pandemic may be past, the COVID strain is still lingering. Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla has announced that the city and Medicine Man Pharmacy will be hosting joint vaccine clinics on Thursday, November 2nd and Monday, November 6, to provide residents with updated COVID-19 and flu vaccines that target new variants ahead of the winter season.
Both the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines will be available to residents five years old and up. The seasonal flu vaccine is available to residents aged 12 and poder. Hoboken residents should be advised that there are limited flu vaccines available for uninsured patients. Appointments are strongly encouraged. Walk-in appointments are available, but not guaranteed.
“I encourage all eligible residents to get their updated vaccines ahead of the colder winter months,” said Mayor Bhalla. “This is one of the best ways to protect ourselves and keep our families healthy and safe during the height of flu and COVID season.”
The clinics will take place at 605 Jackson Street between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 2nd, and between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Monday, November. 6th.
