Hoboken continues to reopen its numerous services and amenities.  With restaurants due to reopen with outdoor dining based upon the Governor’s guidelines on Monday, Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla announced late on Sunday afternoon that city playgrounds will reopen this Thursday, June 18.

That certainly will come as great news for the city’s children.  Mayor Bhalla, in making the announcement via Twitter, did issue precautions, stating, “We will take extra precautions by having City staff sanitize equipment before a re-opening & on a regular basis, but given challenges of social distancing, we’re recommending children 2+ years wear face masks.”

The Mayor went on to say that the City is suggesting that parents brings their own sanitizer with them to the various playgrounds throughout Hoboken. “Go to the playground during early morning and off-peak hours. Please also limit time to 1 hour at the playground to help minimize overcrowding.”

Restrooms located at City playgrounds will also be sanitized and reopened on Thursday.
