Hoboken Police Arrest Jersey City Man For Burglary On Wednesday

Arrestee: Juan Jimenez 42 of Jersey City   

Charges: Burglary, Burglary tools, Hindering, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Incident Dates: 02/12 at 635 am

Incident Location: Area of 1st and Harrison Street   

Officers involved: Officers Teddy Santiago, Dominick Allgeretta, Daniel Grossi and Daniel Barron

On Wednesday, February 12th at 635 AM, the Hoboken Police Department responded to the area of 1st and Harrison Streets on a report of a Burglary. When responding Officers Teddy Santiago and Dominic Allegretta arrived on scene they were provided a description of a male. The male was seen in a privately owned area rummaging through property that did not belong to him. Prior to the Police arriving, the male fled north from the scene. A description of the male was provided to other units who were already searching the area. Based on this description, Juan Jimenez was stopped by Officers Daniel Grossi and Daniel Barron in the area of 8th and Madison Streets. When the Offices initially stopped Mr. Jimenez he provided them with a different name. Ultimately, it was determined that Mr. Jimenez was the male in question and he was placed under arrest. During search incident to arrest Officers found burglary tools (Chisel) and a glass pipe which is commonly used to inhale crack cocaine.

Additionally, it was determined that Mr. Jimenez had four active warrants originating in Hoboken, Jersey City, Leonia and Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.

Mr. Jimenez was charged with: Burglary, Burglary tools, Hindering, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia which was all placed on a warrant.

Once the arrest process was completed Mr. Jimenez was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

Everyone is considered innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
