Hoboken Police Make Multiple Arrests in Recent Week

The Hoboken Police Department has reported several arrests over the past week. On January 14th, 43-year-old Edgar Colon-Rivera of Hoboken was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS cocaine, and theft of movable property in the area of 2nd and Willow Ave. He was processed at the Hoboken Police Department and released on a summons.

On January 13th, 19-year-old Nain Vasquez Gonzalez of West New York was arrested for an open warrant in the area of 3rd and Marshall Drive. During a search incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of CDS and was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On January 17th, 41-year-old Carlos Torres of Union City was arrested for an open warrant in the area of 13th and Garden Street and was also charged with package theft that occurred on January 15th in the area of 7th and Park Avenue. Another individual, 45-year-old Shaneka Boatwright of Newark, was arrested in the same area for her involvement in the package theft and both were transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On January 17th, 35-year-old Desmond Edwards of Newark was arrested in the area of 8th and Hudson Street for theft by deception and possession of CDS Oxycodone. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility after attempting to deceive a building owner regarding payment for a rental property.

On January 19th, 52-year-old Daniel Montanez of Hoboken was arrested for shoplifting, which took place at Shoprite in 2020. He was processed and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On January 21st, 30-year-old Denise Rivera of Hoboken was arrested for an open warrant issued in 2022. She was transported to Hoboken where she was processed and released with a court date.

It’s important to note that all individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
