Hoboken Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Two Persons of Interest in Two Month Old Carjacking

The Hoboken Police Department needs the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest in connection with a carjacking that occurred nearly two months ago.

                                                      The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. on March 27, 2024, on the 100 block of River Street.  According to police. an unknown person got into a running and unlocked, black 2020 Range Rover.  When the victim noticed the person sitting in the driver’s seat, he jumped into his vehicle on the passenger’s side and got into a physical altercation with the actor.

During the struggle, the vehicle’s owner was able to shut off the car.  The actor struck the victim in the face, got out of the vehicle and was seen fleeing on foot with another person.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Hoboken EMS, but refused further medical attention.

An investigation by Hoboken Police identified two persons of interest who are believed to have left Hoboken that afternoon via a PATH train.
