Hoboken to Hold Virtual Meeting on Proposed Changes to Rent Control Ordinance on Monday

The Hoboken City Council will host a virtual community meeting on Monday, July 11, at 6 p.m. regarding proposed changes to the rent-control ordinance.

The ordinance, introduced by the Council, proposes to amend the percentage rent can be increases in a rent-controlled building once it is vacated by a tenant from 25% to 10%, and lowers the maximum annual rent increase in rent-controlled units from 7.5% to 4%.
