Holiday Cheer, Santa & Song, Union City Lights Municipal Christmas Tree

On a crisp Wednesday night in Washington Park, Union City officially kicked off the holiday season by lighting the municipal Christmas tree.

Music was performed by the Union City High School brass band.  Popcorn and hot chocolate was provided for those in attendance, which totaled about fifty residents, and a bouncy house for the kids kept them smiling.

This was the first tree lighting in the city.  Tomorrow evening, Thursday, December 4th, at Ellsworth Park, located at 24th Street and New York Avenue, musical entertainment will be provided and another Christmas tree will be lit.

And I would suspect, Santa Claus will make another appearance for pictures, and hot chocolate will likely be provided as well.

Enjoy the holiday season everyone.
