On Thursday afternoon, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez stated that the Homicide Unit and the North Bergen Police Department are investigating the death of a man, found inside of a residence on Palisade Plaza on Monday, December 9, 2024.
According to the Prosecutor, shortly before 3:30 p.m., the North Bergen Police Department was notified of an unresponsive male inside a second floor residence at 9028 Palisade Plaza. When police officers arrived, they discovered the lifeless body of a male, later identified as 48-year old Juan Moyet of North Bergen. He was pronounced dead at the scene just after 3:50 p.m.
A press release from the Prosecutor’s Office states, “The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office responded and determined the victim suffered an apparent head injury. On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, a post-mortem exam was conducted that determined the Cause of Death to be a Gunshot Wound to the Head and the Manner to be Homicide.”
The case is being investigated by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the North Bergen Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time.
