The Hudson County Board of Commissioners are resuming in person meetings as of September 7, 2021. According to Commission Chairman Anthony Vainieri, it is the desire of the Board of Commissioners to resume meetings of the Board in the chambers at such time when the chambers may be safely reopened for in-person participation. That date has been determined to be September 7.
In other Commission business, the Board approved a traffic control signal shared maintenance agreement with the Township of East Newark for $35,000.
The county will ensure that the traffic signals are in accordance with the New Jersey Department of Transportation standards to protect the traveling public. The county may provide maintenance, repair, and in some instances replacement services in an efficient and economically beneficial manner.
