The Dominican Day Parade is a joyful celebration of all things Dominican. Each year, Hudson County residents come together to honor their heritage and culture.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the county closed Bergenline Avenue, from 79th to 43rd Street to celebrate the parade on Sunday, September 25.
It was to commemorate the richness of the Dominican culture, folklore and popular traditions. The Parade floats and route performers shone a light on the heritage and contributions of the local and worldwide Dominican community.
According to National Dominican Day Parade (NatDDP), September 15 to October 15 is an excellent opportunity to engage in this year’s theme, United: Inclusion for a Stronger Nation and remind all Hispanics that they are connected.
The parade is a longtime tradition beloved by the Dominican community.
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
