Hudson County Parks to Get Recreation and Open Space Improvements Through Grants Funding

The Hudson County Board of Commissioners have approved over $5,643,698.75 of Open Space Trust Grantees for numerous recreation/park improvements and historic preservation projects throughout Hudson County.

Park and Recreation Improvement projects with one year extensions are as follows:

Bayonne– $250,000 extension for improvements to Fitzpatrick Park

Bayonne– $250,000 extension for improvements to Russell Golding Park

Bayonne– $125,000 extension for improvements to 28th St. Park.

Harrison– $900,000 extension for Waterfront Cape May Street Park and Walkway Acquisition

Harrison– $450,000 extension for Waterfront Cape May Street Park Development

Harrison– $500,000 extension for Harrison Little League

Hoboken– $211,699.96 extension for Northwest Resiliency Park.

Hoboken– $500,000 extension for Hoboken Cove & Boathouse

Jersey City– $500,000 extension for Gateway Park Complex

Jersey City– $50,000 extension for Jersey City Reservoir #3 Historic Structures Stabilization

Jersey City– $500,000 extension for Reservoir 3 Fencing

North Bergen– $79,156.74 extension for Policemen’s Memorial Park Improvements

North Bergen– $500,000 extension for North Bergen Community Center (Gym)

North Bergen– $250,000 extension for North Bergen Community Center (Rooftop)

Secaucus– $317,873 extension for Farm Road Riverfront Recreation Improvement

Union City– $139,383.75 extension for 38th Street Playground Improvements

Union City– $26,284.30 extension for Washington Park Improvements

Jersey City– $94,300 extension for Old Bergen Church Cemetery Restoration Project

Board Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the members of the Board of Commissioners are committed to providing the necessary resources needed to assist communities to make capital improvements to recreation/parks and preserve historic sites in their towns or cities within Hudson County.
