The Hudson County Board of Commissioners have announced a grant of $754,468 to Integrity House to provide substance abuse and mental health treatment programs for men and women at the Hudson County Adult Correctional Center in Kearny.
The program provides for mental health, as well as drug addiction counseling, tailored to the residential population. It will enable clients to re-enter into the community and prevent recidivism.
The program’s grant runs from the beginning of this month to November 30, 2022.
Integrity House has over 40 years of professional experience providing substance abuse and mental health counseling to its clients.
Board Chairman Anthony Vainieri says “the Commissioners are committed in their resolve in providing the necessary resources needed in providing substance abuse and mental health counseling to inmates who are ready for community re-entry. This program will assist in reducing recidivism.”
