Hudson County Schools of Technology Receives State Labor Grant to Provide Educational & Workforce Development Training

Jersey City – The Hudson County Board of Commissioners have approved a $382,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Work Force Development of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Program to Hudson County Schools of Technology Finance.

The purpose of the grant is to provide necessary resources to assist students in continuing or enhancing their educational skills, plus enhancing their basic education skills training and job search/readiness services.

The funds will be disseminated to the Hudson County Schools of Technology Career Development Center and the Hudson County Jersey City Workforce Development Board.

Commission Board Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Commissioners are committed in their resolve in providing the necessary educational and training resources needed to assist county residents with their education and in obtaining and maintaining gainful employment.
