Hudson Freeholders Approve Funds For 2 Historic Preservation & Restoration Projects

The Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders recently approved over $950,000 of Open Space Trust Grants for two improvement and historic preservation projects in Hudson County.

The projects, one in Hoboken and the other in Secaucus, are detailed below:

City of Hoboken – $500,000 for the Hoboken Cove and Boathouse Project.

Hudson County Division of Parks – (Secaucus) $450,000 for Laurel Hill Park Shoreline Improvement Projects.

The term of the grant runs from November 12, 2020 through November 11, 2021.

According to a county press release, Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the members of the Board of Freeholders are committed to providing the necessary resources needed to assist communities to make capital improvements and preserve historic sites in their towns or cities within Hudson County.
