The Hudson County Health Department and the Office of County Executive Tom DeGise announced over the weekend that residents aged 75 and older will be given vaccine priority this week at the county-run, vaccination site in Kearny.

Beginning today, the County Vaccination Distribution Center, USS Juneau Center, located at 110 Hackensack Avenue, will prioritize its 1,900 first doses to Hudson residents who are at least 75 years of age.  In the event the vaccine appointment portal goes unfilled and has remaining slots, the portal will open up to other, eligible county residents.

In a statement, County Executive DeGise said, “Since beginning our vaccination efforts two months ago, we have remained committed to providing eligible residents in all corners of Hudson County with the opportunity to be vaccinated, especially those most at risk.  In the coming days, we will be furthering our efforts to assist our most vulnerable residents and ensure that this life-saving vaccine is put into the arms of those who are most in need.”

If you already have a second dose scheduled at the Kearny site, you will be vaccinated as scheduled.
