Extremely cold temperatures didn’t dampen the enthusiasm, as hundreds of West New Yorkers attended Friday night’s Christmas tree lighting at Town Hall.
In addition to Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Memorial High School band entertained those in attendance. There was hot chocolate, much appreciated by everyone braving the cold, as well as popcorn.
Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners wished everyone a happy holiday season, and a happy and healthy New Year.
