Hundreds of WNY Seniors Attend Saturday's Welcome to Spring Party

Despite heavy rain on Saturday morning, hundreds of West New York senior citizens attended the Welcome to Spring Party.  They enjoyed music and dancing, as well, as a hot lunch.

The event took place at the Memorial High School Freshman Academy.

Commissioner Victor Barrera told HudNews that Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners want the seniors to enjoy life, so events like the Welcome to Spring Party are a small way the town can give back to them for all they have given and done for the municipality.

So despite the poor weather on Saturday, the seniors came out in force to enjoy an afternoon with friends and neighbors.  Everyone had a wonderful time.

Transportation was provided by the town.
