Jersey City Coronavirus Cases Surpasses 1100

Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop tweeted the latest coronavirus statistics for the city on Friday night.  Needless to say, the figures are frightening.

There are 1,104 residents of Jersey City who have tested positive for COVID-19, with 60 percent of those infected being male and 40 percent being female.  The age group with the largest percentage of coronavirus cases ranges from 31 to 40 years old.  23.83 percent of coronavirus cases in the city fall into this age category.

There have been 33 COVID-19 deaths in Jersey City according to the latest information provide by the Mayor, with the average age of those deceased being 63.  The highest number of deaths fall into the 61-75 years of age category, a total of 30.3 percent.

70 percent of those Jersey City residents who have passed away from the virus are male, with 30 percent being female.
