On Monday afternoon, Jersey City officials gathers with firefighters at Fire Headquarters for a ceremony revealing the department’s new pumpers.  They were also blessed by department chaplain, Rev. James Pagnotta.  Fire Chief Steve Mc Gill thanked Mayor Steven Fulop and the city council for the acquisition of these new units to replace veteran firefighting apparatus.  The new pumpers, built by Pierce, can pump 2000-gallons of water a minute and hold 500-gallons of water in the tank.  They are assigned to Engine Co.’s 5, 11 and 22, in different sections of the city.
