Retired history professor, Dr. Silvio Laccetti, who chaired Hudson County’s Bicentennial Congress fifty years ago, recently donated a scroll from that historic event at Jersey City State College, to the Jersey City Public Library and Museum of Jersey City History. The scroll is part of an exhibit, open to the public, as our nation celebrates its 250th birthday.

The exhibit is called “The Enduring Promise: The Declaration of Independence, 250 Years.” It is open to the public on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 1 and 5 pm.

The Museum is located at 298 Academy Street.
