A 58-year old, Jersey City man has been arrested for shoplifting in Bayonne.

According to Captain Eric Amato, Melchizedek Allah of Bostwick Avenue was taken into custody by Bayonne Police at 12:29 on Tuesday afternoon at the Shop Rite supermarket, located at 583 Avenue C. Amato says Allah was in possession of $113.22 worth of merchandise.

Further investigation by officers revealed Allah was wanted on two, outstanding warrants in Hoboken. Details were not released.

Allah was taken to the Hudson County Jail in Kearny, charged with shoplifting and the two warrants.
