A 32-year old, Jersey City man was gunned down on Sunday afternoon in Jersey City. According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating the incident which took place near Crescent and Belmont Avenues.
At approximately 12:28 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department responded to a shooting in the area of 32 Belmont Avenue. Responding officers found a male – later identified as Rasheen Bostick – with an apparent gunshot wound to his torso. He was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 12:55 p.m.
The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests have been made at this time.
