Jersey City Police said in radio transmissions that the victim’s grandmother called 911 and reported that her grandson had been shot. Police said in the transmissions that two people on a porch on Wegman Parkway were targeted by a passerby. One of them was struck.
Police also stated that a vehicle was hit by gunfire, but the gunman fled the scene.
Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, providing immediate medical attention to the injured juvenile. Paramedics administered crucial first aid before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital. At present, the condition of the boy remains unknown.
