An investigation continues into a stabbing incident involving two juveniles in Union City last Sunday, September 13.  According to Union City spokesperson Erin Knoedler, who sent an email to Hudson TV this morning, the two juveniles knew each other. Knoedler wrote, “The stabbing took place on 18th and NYA (New York Avenue) after 4 pm….over clothing.”

One of the juveniles was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  Knoedler says, “the other was remanded to (the) juvenile detention center.  More charges and arrests were made in connection with this incident.”

There are approximately 20 reports connected to last Sunday’s stabbing.  A call has been placed to the Union City Police Department’s Detective Bureau, but according to Knoedler, the Chief of Detectives is on vacation.  Knoedler is awaiting a call from Captain Facchini so she can review the reports, which will have to be redacted due to the age of the person’s involved.

This story will be updated when more information is made available by the city.
