The coronavirus continues to take lives.  Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis has announced that three Bayonne residents with COVID-19 have recently passed away.  Two women, ages 70 and 82, as well as a 70-year old man have died.   Mayor Davis extends his condolences, on behalf of all of Bayonne, to the families of the deceased.

The latest statistics, as of Thursday, show the following:

The number above reflects the Bayonne residents that are CURRENTLY COVID-19 Positive.

OEM UPDATE:  To date, 2,472 Bayonne residents have tested positive for COVID-19, regardless of where that test was given. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 85 Bayonne residents have died due to Coronavirus-related illnesses. 2,125 residents have recovered to date (discontinued isolation per CDC guidelines). BMC UPDATE: There are currently 19 Bayonne residents with COVID-19 admitted in the Bayonne Medical Center. The BMC has reinstated its “Drive-Thru Testing” program.  Currently, patients with a prescription and an appointment are being tested, inside their vehicles, at the Emergency Room Driveway entrance. This testing takes place each morning from 9:30 am to 12 pm by APPOINTMENT ONLY.
