Just a few weeks after it opened its newest food market in Weehawken, Lidl, the German-based fresh market has announced it will be opening a store this Wednesday, November 18 in Bayonne. The store is located at the Harbor view Marketplace, along Route 440 near the 34th Street Light Rail Station.
The store’s exact address is 20 Goldsborough Drive. The grand opening will take place at 8 am following a ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of the supermarket to be attended by local officials.
Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis stated in a press release, “The City of Bayonne is happy to welcome Lidl to our community. Lidl’s decision to set up shop in here is yet another sign that Bayonne is a great location for business. We are happy to provide a new American location for this important European retail company.”
Lidl operates approximately 11,200 stores in 32 countries worldwide.
