North Bergen, NJ – On Friday, October 20th, 2023, the North Bergen Police Department announced the arrest of 57-year-old Julio Seoane-Alamo in connection with a hit-and-run collision that left an 11-year-old boy injured.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 17th, when detectives from the North Bergen Police Department's Detective Bureau and Traffic Unit were alerted to a hit-and-run involving a juvenile in the area of 76th Street and Hudson Avenue. Seoane-Alamo, driving a 2021 gray Ford Explorer, allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the young pedestrian as he was in the crosswalk. The suspect then continued to drive eastbound towards Broadway.

Through diligent investigation, detectives identified the license plate of the vehicle involved, ultimately leading to Seoane-Alamo's arrest. He is charged with Assault by Auto, a disorderly persons offense; Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a crime of the 3rd degree; and Endangering an Injured Victim, a crime of the 4th degree. He was additionally issued multiple traffic-related summonses and has been released pending his first court appearance.
