Main Bayonne Library Partially Re-Opens on Monday

Bayonne Library at 31st Street to Have Partial Re-Opening on Monday, April 3

Starting Monday, April 3rd, Bayonne Public Library’s Avenue C location will once again be partially open to the public.   The Avenue C location will maintain our typical Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 9 pm and Friday & Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm hours.

Since work is being done on our historic courtyard and entryway, the only available entrance to the building will be on the 31st Street side.  Inside the building, the public will have access to nearly all of its books, spaces for studying, public computers, charging tables, and the temporary Children’s Room, which is located on the 2nd floor in the Gallery. Children’s programming will resume the week of April 10th. Please keep an eye on our social media for the registration information.

During this partial re-opening period, the Story Court temporary library location at 16 West 4th Street will remain open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. While both locations are open, books may be returned in person at either location or in the drop box just outside the 31st Street entrance. Patrons can place holds for books online and have them delivered to their desired library location within 24 hours. Step-by-step instructions for placing location-based holds will be posted soon.  Both locations will have public computers, study space, printing, and copying.
