Harrison Mayor James Fife and the Town Council advise residents of a major sewage repair project which will shutdown a section of Kingsland Avenue longterm.
The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission owns and operates many sewer pipes under the streets in Harrison. The PVSC has informed the municipality that it needs to perform extensive work on its Branch Interceptor Sewer under Kingsland Avenue between Hamilton Street and Harrison Avenue.
The work is scheduled to start on January 2, 2024. It is expected to last approximately 8 months. During the work, Kingsland Avenue will be closed to vehicles.
