Mayor Fulop Invites Public to Free Fourth of July Concert & Festival

Jersey City Unveils Exciting Lineup for July 4th Festival and Concert

A wide range of activities have been announced for the July 4th holiday in Jersey City, something for the entire family to enjoy.

Mayor Steven Fulop, City Council members, the Office of Cultural Affairs, along with the Exchange Place Alliance invite everyone to come out and celebrate Independence Day in Jersey City with an exciting lineup for the 2024 Fourth of July Festival and Concert.  This year’s celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever, with an entertainment-packed day of family-friendly activities, dazzling fireworks over the Hudson River, and performances by international superstars Funk Flex, Fat Joe, and Wyclef Je

The Independence Day festivities start at noon with a street fair featuring more than 80 local artisans and food vendors.The main stage features an all-day live concert with daytime talent leading up to headlining performances by nationally acclaimed artists at 6:10 p.m. and capped off by the grand finale fireworks by Grucci beginning at 9:25 p.m.

“Our Fourth of July Festival is a highlight of the summer, bringing together our diverse community to celebrate our nation’s independence with music, fun, and fireworks,” said Mayor Fulop.  “We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors alike for a fantastic day of festivities.”

Main Stage Concert:

1:00 p.m. – DJ Chauncy

2:00 p.m. – Sydney Millevoi

2:50 p.m. – The Wonder Collective

3:35 p.m. – Journeyy

5:15 p.m. – The Moon City Masters

6:10 p.m. – Funk Flex

6:45 p.m. – Fat Joe

8:15 p.m. – Wyclef Jean

Here’s everything you need to know about tomorrow’s activities:

Fireworks by Grucci: 

9:25 p.m. – The celebration will culminate with a spectacular fireworks show illuminating the sky over the Hudson River and offering breathtaking views along the Exchange Place waterfront.

Family Fun Zone:

12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Family entertainment will offer a range of activities for children of all ages, including bounce houses, face painting, balloon artist, and games hosted by the New York Red Bulls.

Food and Beverage:

A diverse selection of food vendors and food trucks will be available, offering a variety of delicious options.  Beer gardens will also be set up for adults to enjoy.  See the event map.

Vendor Marketplace:

Night Market will host a marketplace along Marin Boulevard and Christopher Columbus Drive, featuring more than 80 food and non-food vendors selling a diverse selection of delicious food, unique crafts, merchandise, and souvenirs.

“We are so excited to be bringing our Hawaiian- and Filipino-inspired eats for a fourth year to the best Independence Day celebration on this side of the Hudson River!” adds Chef Florvil Valdez of Eemas Eats.


All attendees are strongly encouraged to use public transportation to avoid traffic and parking challenges.  Parking options are available but limited, and ride-sharing services are recommended.  Light Rail Services at Exchange Place will be suspended for the duration of the event.

  • Additional Via Jersey City services.
  • Rideshare drop-off points at City Hall.
  • Bike JC valet at Warren and Montgomery Streets.
  • Exchange Place PATH services every 10 minutes from 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.


Parking restrictions in the area begin at 6 p.m. on July 3, 2023.  All temporary parking and road restrictions will be lifted at 11:59 p.m. on July 4, 2023.

Security and Safety:

The Jersey City Police Department and event security teams will be on-site to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.  Please be advised that bag checks will be conducted at all entry points, and certain items such as large backpacks, alcohol, weapons, fireworks, and any contraband are prohibited.
