120 Computers Were Donated This Week to Area Public and Charter Schools
To lessen the impact of the digital divide on student learning, Assemblywoman Angela McKnight (D-Hudson) partnered with AngelaCARES, Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC & Razor’s Tech to donate 120 computers to four local Jersey City schools, both public and charter.
“Access to computers, technology, and the internet – the “digital divide” – has long been a concern for many communities, especially communities of color, in New Jersey,” said McKnight. “The impact of the pandemic has certainly exacerbated the divide and, as they continue some form of virtual learning this school year, help will be needed to support our educators and students.

“I am grateful that we can all come together and do great work such as this. The computers and equipment donation will help over one hundred students in the area. I am thankful to my partners in this mission who jumped at the chance to help our students.”
Among the local schools to receive computers, keyboards, CPUs, mouses, monitors, and wires:
- School PS 15 – 30 computers
- School PS 22 – 30 computers
- School PS 34 – 30 computers
- School Jersey City Community Charter School – 30 computers
Assemblywoman McKnight also received support in this endeavor from Property Maintenance Guys in Jersey City, which donated a van to deliver the computers to schools.
