Memorial Held For Retired WNY Teacher of 30+ Years Who Unexpectedly Passes Away

Approximately fifteen of her former co-workers and friends from the West New York School District held a memorial this morning for retired teacher Kathy Hudson.  The former third and fourth grade teacher, who retired two years ago, recently passed away from cancer after a more than thirty year, teaching career in the district.

Hudson was a well loved and respected teacher during her time in West New York, teaching third and fourth grades at PS#2 and PS#6.  Her students loved her, many frequently returning to ask how she was doing.

Hudson loved wine.  She loved cooking,  She was vibrant and always had a smile on her face.  More than anything else, she loved her students.  Her friends said, she was not good with driving directions, however, joking she could get lost going around the block.  She will be missed by her family, friends, and her former students.  #RIP Kathy.
