Jersey City and the County of Hudson’s Vaccine Task Force have announced that the Moderna COVID vaccine will be available today, Saturday, April 24 at two, Jersey City park locations.  The pop-up sites are provided by #HealthierJC and no appointments are necessary.

The first location is at Hamilton Park, across from 9 McWilliams Place between 9 am and 6 pm.  The second location is in Lincoln Park, by the fountain, between 11 am and 3 pm during the Hudson County Improvement Authority’s Earth Day celebration.

Jersey City residents should bring a photo identification with them to the Lincoln ark site.  All Hudson County residents, however, are eligible to receive the vaccine, which is being administered by the Jersey City Health Department while supplies are available.

“We are now taking our operations one step further by working closely with our municipal partners to offer more vaccine distribution options,” Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise said. “We anticipate opening up additional mobile vaccination clinics throughout the county in the coming weeks.”

So far in Hudson County, approximately 150,000 of the county’s nearly 670,000 residents have been fully vaccinated.   According to New Jersey Department of Health statistics, more than 401,000 people have had at least one shot.
