NBPD Adds 2 Full Time and 5 Special Class 2 Officers

Earlier this week the North Bergen Police Department promoted two, part time, Special Class 2 officers to full time status, while swearing-in 5 part time, Class 2 officers.  The new, full time officers are Ali Jaloudi and Gerardo Guzman.

The new, Special Class 2 Officers, who work part time and have no police powers when they are off-duty, are Fayez Awawdeh, Thomas Lombardi, David Ramirez, Genesis Yepez and Steve Garcia.

North Bergen has hired six, full time officers since legislation was passed in 2021 and 2022 allowing police departments to bypass the civil service process.

Special Class 2 Officers go through the same training as regular, full time police officers.
