West New York’s annual senior citizen, Thanksgiving luncheon was attended by almost 1,000 people on Saturday afternoon at the Middle School.
Sponsored by Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners, the event was started by the Mayor during his initial term in office, prior to joining Congress. It was an afternoon filled with smiles, great food, dancing and music.

It allows seniors to spend time with their friends and neighbors, and maybe even meet some new people.

During the event, Commissioner Victor Barrera announced that the Town will sponsor a Christmas luncheon for senior citizens on December 12th at The Graycliff in Moonachie. Roundtrip transportation will be provided.
All in all, it was a great way to kick off the holiday season.
