Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis is thrilled to announce that the first street hockey rink has been completed in Bayonne. The rink is located in Fitzpatrick Park.
Mayor Davis, in a Facebook post stated, “Growing up in Bayonne, many of us always wished for a street hockey rink. Well, better late than never!”
In a bit of irony, according to the Mayor, Ken Micek’s company, which is located in Bayonne, is one of the country’s leading street and ice hockey rink installers. “We are happy to see him do this work.”
Plans for a second rink at Dennis Collins Park along the Kill Van Kull are already in the works.
