NHCAC Opens New Health Center In Weehawken

During a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday afternoon at the shopping mall on Park Avenue in Weehawken, officials opened a new, North Hudson Community Action Corporation health center.

The facility, which will focus on family practice, is needed in the area with all of the schools and residential dwellings in the community.  Specifically, the site will target internal medicine and pediatrics for Weehawken, Union City, West New York and Guttenberg residents.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 5 pm, with plans to expand in the near future.

Health care services will be provided on a sliding fee scale, meaning whether a patient has insurance or not, nobody in need of care will be turned away if they cannot afford payment.
