The New Jersey Assembly will be holding a special voting session this afternoon to address several, coronavirus-related pieces of legislation. Two of the bills being considered are co-sponsored by Hudson County legislators.
One bill, sponsored by Nicholas Chiaravalloti (D-District 31 – Bayonne) would permit professional and occupational licensing boards to reactivate licensure of certain individuals during states of emergency or public health emergencies, such as the current COVID-19 crisis.
The second bill is sponsored by Annette Chaparro (D-District 33 – Hoboken). It concerns family leave and disability benefits during epidemic-related emergencies.
A total of five pieces of COVID-19 related legislation are scheduled to be voted on during this afternoon’s special session in Trenton.
