NJ Teacher Screams at Kids in Park, Says She Hopes They “Die” of Coronavirus

A math teacher from Steinert High School in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, was caught on video last Thursday yelling at some teenagers who were playing football on the property of the former Homedell School on East Franklin Street.   According to an article and video published in The Trentonian on Saturday, April 25, the teacher, identified as Nicole Griggs, can be heard saying she hopes they “die a long, painful death” from the coronavirus.

According to the Hamilton school district website, Griggs has taught in Hamilton for fifteen years.  She was born and raised in the township.

According to the newspaper report, the incident was captured by one of the teenagers on Snapchat and sent to friends.  Another Steinert student then posted the video on the social media platform, TikTok.

Initially, the video, which is posted below, shows Griggs trying to explain to the teenagers why they shouldn’t be playing in the park.  Then she starts yelling at them and becomes belligerent, saying “I’m just trying to save your ass and save your life.  But die, OK, I hope both of you get the coronavirus.  I hope you both die a long, painful death.”
